I Am Malala Audiobook is a book written by Malala Yousafzai, co-written with Christina Lamb. It is the story about the girl who stood up for Education and was shot by the Taliban. This book is the autobiography of Malala Yousafzai’s early life. It was published by Weidenfeld and Nicolson in the UK and Little Brown and Company in the US on 8^th October 2013. The book also details Malala’s activism for female education.

The book is divided into five parts. The first part is entitled Before the Taliban. In this part, Malala describes her childhood home Swat Valley. The second part entitled The Valley of Death, this part describes the rise of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan in 2006. She also describes the War in North-West Pakistan. The third part namely, Three Bullets, Three Girls.

In this part, she describes the death threats she receives and how on 9^th October, two men stop her bus and shoot three bullets. The fourth part is named Between Life and Death. She was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on 15^th October. The final part is entitled The Second Life. This part describes how she moves on and struggles to be known as “the girl who fought for education”.

Plot Review:

Malala Yousafzai in this book (I Am Malala Audiobook) stands up for the girls’ rights to be able to go to school. She is a girl from Mingora. She used to speak against a very powerful group known as the Taliban, so they start to target her and her father Ziauddin Yousafzai. One day she was going back home from school, suddenly she got shot by the Taliban. But she is lucky enough to still be alive. She started to work even harder for the sake of female education.
